Expect a different analysis here than from the chattering media classes. I viewed the debate largely as a tie, but with the caveat that Romney surprised me. He actually had some zingers, and he made me pay attention to him. I won't explain the zingers, people who pay closer attention will discover them (Obama had his own as well).
The important thing is content. Romney is a liar. He's lied to his primary supporters, and he lied to the American people last night, in different ways. He's been running for president since God knows when, but said he's in this race because jobs or the economy are so bad. Sure, I (don't) believe that.
The guy wants to be president. He's a rich kid who double-downed on his father's wealth (mostly transferred to him and his family before his father died, as almost all rich families do), and made a name for himself in business circles. He said he would "grade" schools, so parent could move their kids, (um) how does that help the economy or education system that all the parent want to move their kids to the same high-achieving schools?
Dumb.
I'm sure commenters can provide, but Romney's "solution" for education is the stupidest, less thought out proposal I've ever heard, aside from war on Iraq and all the other stupid ish we consistently hear from the business class (led by oil).
